HALCXN VA ∞ CAMPO MAGNÉTICO: Nine essential routes for a local noise collision
Waves are expanding and shrinking, running through an undetermined time and space. Colliding existences, melting its changes, intentions, and beings. An irresistible magnetism, attracting and repelling, chaos and calm in the broad universe; all the parts of a magnetic field playing their role.
The Chilean label Halcxn announces its fourth digital release: HALCXN VA ∞ CAMPO MAGNETICO, a journey through our sensorial and energetic stream which invites us to explore diverse corners of the Chilean sound.
The label creator and producer Fantasna (aka Sebastian Mella) joins for this compilation to the musicians Kamila Govorcin, DJ Raff, Bvha (Palta Mango + Plinio Verna), Nico Castro, Pepo Fernandez, RUSSELL, Kleine Pia, and VNZO. The album brings together nine worldviews, in which each perspective is a response to another proposal.
Kamila Govorcin's 'Preambulo' opens this journey, which travels across a variety of meanings and talent, soundwaves and magnetic forces, interweaving ambient, house, acid, roots, and risk. The opening tracks, RUSSELL's '101' and 'Menguante' by DJ Raff, set the dimension of the total by their expanding elements. The core of the narrative appears in 'Like Fear' and 'No Tienen Nada' by Bvha and Fantasna, respectively. The music keeps flowing with Nico Castro's 'Juntos' and 'Feel Like I Did Too Much' by Pepo Fernandez, two different era-defined visions about what the dancefloor means. "HALCXN VA ∞ CAMPO MAGNETICO" continues with Kleine Pia in 'Rio' and VNZO in 'In Self'. The first has a neat density that announces the ending. The latter encircling trance is a summary of the details shared by the musical collective, nine essential tracks to map the local electronic music collisions.
The art cover and graphic production, by Catalina Molina, is about achieving a social metamorphosis, exposing through the music our present individual, and collective state. A tale of change, addressing a new vision of the reality, built-in times of crisis. Union gives us vision.

Ambient synth sounds galore, all awash in delay and reverb and being manipulated in real time by a master at synthesis. The music here may be repeated phrases, but each repetition brings something new whether it's additional effects or filter cutoffs or resonance boosts. No beats necessary. Just float on clouds of square and sine waves and listen as the patterns form fragile, mutating melodies. Lionel Valdellon (Acid42)
